Customer & Load Details
This drives the sizing estimate below.
Outside PTG Solar's usual service area — we'll still take a look on request.
Converted to estimated usage at ₱15/kWh by default — click the ₱ above to use a different rate.
Accounts for wiring/inverter/soiling losses when sizing the recommended panel array. Defaults to 85%.
Connected Appliances
Used primarily to size the recommended inverter. Tick "used at night" on any appliance that should also count toward battery sizing.
Note: presumed base load = 1000W (lights, outlets, fridge, router, etc. — always assumed present on top of whatever's added below).
Aircon
Peak sizes your inverter. Rated Input sizes your battery, if used at night.
From your aircon's nameplate. This directly sizes your battery, if used at night; peak (inverter sizing) is estimated from it automatically.
Additional / Other Load
Any other equipment not listed above (e.g. water pump, power tools) — added directly to the Peak Load used for inverter sizing.

Appliance load and panel array size both feed the recommended inverter (1000W base household load + connected high-load equipment, or total panel size — whichever is bigger). Monthly bill sizes the recommended panel array. Appliances marked "used at night" size the recommended battery.
Assumptions used for sizing — 80% battery depth-of-discharge, 96% round-trip efficiency, 4.5 peak sun hours/day, 620W panels, 85% solar system efficiency (adjustable under Advanced settings). Recommended panel sizing includes a +50% allowance up to 4kW base array size, +45% from 4.1kW to 8kW, and +40% at 8.1kW and above. Panels can't be configured below 50% of the recommended array size, and are capped at 30 panels (PTG Solar's standard pricing table limit). Recommended inverter size = whichever is bigger of (1kW base household load + connected motor/appliance load) or the total panel array size, rounded up to the nearest available inverter option. For Solis and GoodWe (Tier 1 brands), a small overload headroom is applied first (e.g. up to 6.6kW still uses a 6kW inverter) before rounding up to the next size. 12/16/18/20kW-class systems may use 2 or 3 parallel units of a smaller inverter where that's the only (or cheaper) way to reach that size — a target above 17.7kW always uses 2×10kW, since that's cheaper than 3×6kW. Solis and GoodWe only pair with Tier 1 batteries; Top One's 1.6kW/3.2kW inverters only pair with non-Tier-1 batteries, and its 5.6kW/6.2kW inverters require at least 5kWh. If an aircon/washing machine is non-inverter, its surge wattage is tripled per the load schedule note — checked against the selected inverter, separately from the sizing recommendation itself.
Estimated Load & Sizing
Inverter sizing comes primarily from connected appliance load. Panel array and battery sizing come from the monthly bill and night-flagged appliances.

25-Year Financial Projection
Meralco-only cost vs. the selected solar package's net position, both escalated at the same forecasted electricity rate.
Note — panel degradation basis: every figure in this section (both payback periods, all seven investment ratios, and the chart/table below) assumes solar output declines over time rather than staying constant — it does not assume your panels perform at year-1 output for all 25 years. This follows the actual manufacturer warranty curve for the JA Solar JAM66D45 LB (620W) panel used in this system: 1% degradation in year 1, then a flat 0.4%/yr afterward (linear, not compounding), matching JA Solar's published 30-year linear performance warranty of at least 87.4% of rated output remaining at year 30.

Meralco Rate Increase vs. Projected Household Demand Growth
Forecasted Meralco rate (₱/kWh, left axis)Projected household demand (kWh/mo, right axis)
Demand growth basisMeralco rate forecast basis
Demand growth assumes 5.5%/yr compounding (Base Case), based on Philippine DOE distribution-utility planning (~5–5.5%/yr through 2028–2040) and the historical 1982–2015 residential trend (5.8–5.96%/yr), driven by rising household income, electrification, and appliance/cooling ownership.
Note — basis for this forecast: PTG Solar uses a deliberately conservative Base Case of 6%/yr for the Meralco rate escalation shown above and used throughout this projection. Meralco's actual residential rate rose from a pandemic-era low of about ₱8.3/kWh (March 2021) to about ₱14.35/kWh (April 2026) — roughly 10–11%/yr over that stretch — while the longer 10-year historical average (2016–2025) runs closer to 5%/yr. PTG Solar models three scenarios: Conservative 4%/yr (below the 10-year historical average, a lower-bound planning case), Base Case 6%/yr (the figure used throughout this projection — deliberately below both the long-run average and the recent post-pandemic trend, so as not to overstate your savings), and Aggressive 8%/yr (a stress-test case, still below the actual realized rate of increase from 2021–2026). 04Why Solar, Why Now
Meralco's rate has consistently trended upward year over year, while your solar
system's cost is locked in the day you install it. Every year you wait is a year of
rising grid bills a solar system could already be replacing.
